Sorry I have been MIA. My wee Dad passed away last Sunday, so I had to go to Ireland to lay him to rest. There are fewer things in life harder than saying goodbye to your Dad. Dad was a quiet man, unless you got him talking about Polio, engineering, racing cars, puzzles or times when we were little. He and Mum were married for 56 years, they had 6 children so there are a LOT of memories from over those years. My mum and my three sisters and I spent the last week both crying and laughing as we remembered the many happy times we shared over the years. I hope Dad was proud of his send off, we were certainly very proud of how many came out to say goodbye. Thank you to each of you who visited, texted and sent cards. My Dad was certainly loved and he will never be forgotten 💔
