Proof I Actually Read It: The Review 📚⭐⭐⭐⭐

Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid — historical fiction romance — and this one hit different. 🖤

No spice. And it absolutely did not need any.

This book is about relationships — the kind that form under pressure, across barriers, in moments when the world around you is actively working against you. TJR did her research and it shows. The socio-political realities her characters navigate feel lived-in and honest — being gay was career-ending, being a woman meant operating inside a very specific and very small box. She doesn't shy away from any of it and the story is richer for it.

I finished it feeling something. That's the whole point, isn't it? 📖

A gentle heads up — if you're picking this up expecting spice, recalibrate your expectations and then pick it up anyway. The emotional depth more than earns its place on your shelf.

4 stars. TJR doing what TJR does best — making you feel everything while making it look effortless.

It's June 1st and summer is HERE. ☀️ My favorite season.

So naturally, I'm showing up with intentions. (Very on-brand for someone who owns an embarrassing number of planners.)

Here's what's on my radar for Falcon Ridge Designs this summer:
*Some new bookish laser-engraved designs — no promises on a timeline, but the ideas are percolating
*Playing around with some new 3D printed pieces
*More of ME showing up in the content — the process, the happy accidents, the "oh that actually worked" moments

Fair warning: I also have kids, a pool, and zero guilt about either. So if things go quiet for a bit, I'm probably sunburned and happy.

This shop exists because I genuinely love books and making beautiful things — and that's not going anywhere, pool days included.
