The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department hosted the 2026 Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road.

Presented by Bumgarner & Martin Orthodontics and Skylift Garage Doors, the free family event offered a fresh approach to the traditional egg hunt. Instead of different age groups “scrambling” for eggs at assigned times, children and their families were invited to stroll along the “Bunny Trail” and collect their eggs any time between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The festivities featured a DJ, hula hoopers, a bubble artist, Easter-themed crafts, and a visit from the Easter Bunny and Rose Fairy.

In addition, an Egg-ceptional Zone (EZ) catered to individuals with disabilities and their families from 9:30-10 a.m. Situated in the Performance Garden, adjacent to the historic barns, the EZ was designed to provide a fun, safe, family-friendly environment that allowed individuals who may have difficulty participating in a traditional egg hunt the opportunity to pick up Easter eggs at their own pace.
