My name is Wendy Rush Knudson. Most of you know me as Station Mom, a Volunteer First Responder, and so on. Wether it is my photography or drawing.

EMBER: “Extremely hot coals at the base of a fire, sometimes as hot as the fire itself.”
As the Phoenix life comes to a close, it bursts into flames until a pile of ash and embers is all that is left. What some may not know is my love of getting to be creative. This however has become a new passion that is so much fun. I love creating images to put on things. I hope you will love my products as much as I do.

🌞 Wednesday Market Tomorrow 10–3!
The sun is clocked in, the breeze is behaving, and Wednesday Market is ready to redeem itself after last week’s wind‑and‑rain shenanigans. Elegant Embers will be out there with all the handmade goodies, journals, windspinners, sublimation gifts, and those “I didn’t know I needed this but now I do” treasures.

And you know it’s not a market without the rest of our community crew:

- BH Farms bringing the fresh produce and fall flavors
- Local makers with handcrafted jewelry, ceramics, and art
- Bakers & treat vendors serving up the sweet stuff
- Creative crafters filling the booths with handmade gifts, décor, and one‑of‑a‑kind finds
- Community groups sharing resources, safety info, and local support

Plus, the music lineup is rolling all day, M:n:M, Steve Cook, SLUGS, Bill Lewey, and COURT keeping the good vibes flowing.

It’s going to be a gorgeous coastal Wednesday.

Mother Nature has apparently woken up and chosen chaos, so Wednesday Market is canceled for September 2. The rain is coming in sideways like it’s trying to join a NASCAR race, and the wind is out here auditioning to be the next big Oregon Coast influencer.

Elegant Embers will be cozied up at home, crafting away while the trees outside attempt their best “leaning tower” impressions. We’ll see you next week when the weather stops acting like it needs a double timeout and a snack.

Wednesday Market is TOMORROW from 10–3, and we’re rolling in with all the mid‑week joy, sunshine, and handmade goodness your heart can handle.

Elegant Embers will be set up and fully stocked, and yes, that includes our handmade journals, vintage‑style junk‑journal pages, and all the little ephemera bits that make your creative brain light up like a porch lantern at dusk. If you love crafting, memory‑keeping, or just collecting pretty paper because it makes your soul happy, you’ll want to stop by.

We’ll also have our usual lineup of sublimation gifts, coastal‑themed goodies, windspinners, towels, tumblers, tote bags, and those “I didn’t know I needed this until right now” treasures that Elegant Embers is famous for.

Tomorrow I’ll be setting up at the Moose Vendor & Street Dance from 12–5, and I’m already preparing my “I totally lifted that box without grunting” face. 💁‍♀️💪

Come enjoy food, music, and more — the kind of “more” that makes small‑town events the best. Great vendors, good eats, live tunes, and me pretending I’m not absolutely going back for seconds at the food table. 🎶🍔🛍️

Stop by, say hi, browse a bit, dance a bit, snack a bit — it’s the perfect Saturday combo.

Thank you to every drenched, wind‑whipped, thunder‑jumping legend who showed up at Waldport Wednesday Market today.

We didn’t just have “a little coastal weather.”
We had full cinematic drama, monsoon rains, sideways wind, lightning that sounded like the sky was frying bacon, and thunder so loud it probably reset a few pacemakers.

Shoppers and vendors were huddled under canopies like we were forming a temporary storm‑survival commune. At one point it felt less like a market and more like a team‑building exercise sponsored by Mother Nature.

And speaking of team‑building…
A special thank‑you to everyone who helped chase down the Great Napkin Escape of 2026.
One perfectly timed gust turned our dispenser into a confetti cannon, and suddenly half the market was sprinting after airborne napkins like we were competing in the Waldport Paper Goods Olympics.
Gold medals all around.

To the shoppers who still browsed, laughed, and supported local vendors, you’re the real MVPs.
To the vendors who held onto their canopies like they were trying not to get yeeted into the next county, absolute heroes.
To the weather… please take a nap.

Wild day, unforgettable crowd.
Same time next week, ideally with fewer lightning sound effects and significantly less napkin aerobics.

This week at Elegant Embers, the journal family has officially arrived! Pocket journals, junk journals, tiny ones, chunky ones, all with their own quirky charm.

They’re made from recycled paper, fabric bits, and whatever fun odds‑and‑ends I can rescue, so no two are ever alike.

And don’t worry, all your regular favorites are still in the booth: towels, totes, windspinners, tumblers, and the usual goodies you hunt for.
Christmas in July kicks off next week, so stay tuned!
