September 11, 2001 - We Remember. 🇺🇸
Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the countless heroes who ran toward danger while others were running away.
September 11th holds a very special place in our hearts at Papaw’s Tree Farm. While Papaw was not among the firefighters who responded that day, as a lifelong firefighter, the courage and sacrifice of the men and women who answered the call are deeply meaningful to him.
343 firefighters. 60 police officers. 8 EMTs/paramedics. Thousands of innocent lives. One day that changed us forever. We also remember the incredible search-and-rescue dogs who worked tirelessly alongside their handlers, searching through the rubble and bringing comfort and hope during some of the darkest days.
Their courage, loyalty, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication will never be forgotten.
Today, we honor the fallen, remember the heroes, and hold their families—and every person whose life was forever changed—in our hearts.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸🐾
