Staying in today. If I wait for the rain to be done before setting up, by the time I get all set up, it will rain again. It’s about 1 1/2 hours to assemble everything.
Cedar Rapids won’t let us stay parked at the stall until it’s done raining, we have to drop the trailer then leave and park, and stand out in the rain until they let us exit the market at noon. Plus the streets could potentially flood with this monsoon 🤷🏽‍♀️
Last week I packed up in a hurry after a super dusty gusty day, I beat the rain, but wasn’t able to shake everything off in time. If it were to get wet, all the shirts would turn to mud.

I’m not sure if we will set up at the Cedar Rapids Farmers Market tomorrow because of the rain.
I’m leaning more towards skipping the market but will be there waiting to see what the radar shows.
I’ll for sure be at the Made in Iowa market in October at Hawkeye Downs. Lots of neat goodies to shop for. 😀

We had an unforgettable time at the Pekin Marigold Festival. It made going back to our ‘real’ jobs so hard yesterday. I spent weeks building inventory, and we spent almost 30 hours driving, setting up, and selling at the new best event we’ve been to ever.

Again!!
I know the Davenport market did not cancel but we cancelled ourselves due to rain and wind, right before Cedar Rapids decided to cancel.
No, I don’t have a location indoors to shop. I’ve had my eyes and ears open to options but nothing fits with my time and financial commitments. (I prefer to rent a small space in a salon, boutique, or coffee shop).
But I am okay with how things are going.

I will be working on website things today.
