Baby Gill is my goto pattern when using the Glass Fry. Everything relays on baby gill young of the year as a food source. It’s just a smart bet. This one will be available on the next DROP of inventory.

Yesterday I worked on jigs for 10+ hours and answered messages for 2+ hours. I’ve had a LARGE amount of new traffic from my posts. I don’t know where all the new traffic is originating from but it’s been crazy! I happened to take the day off yesterday. I’m not doing jigs full time any longer and I work a lot of hours at my real job. I don’t have the time to commit to jigs like I used to. The demand appears to be going back to levels during Covid. This means what I do make and release will probably be gone very quickly! I’m sorry I’m not in a position to make hundreds of jigs every week like I used to.

I will announce the day and time that the new inventory will hit the website through the J and S Custom Jigs page. When the inventory goes up it’s up to you to put it in your cart and checkout.

I will not be taking phone calls at this time. (Everyone wants to talk a while and I don’t have the time). I need to spend the time making jigs.

Go take a bath!

Today I cleaned up a bunch of Glass Fry. I need to get them ready for final clear coat. I plan to finish up what I’ve made so far and put it up on the website soon. I’m not setting a time until I have them done. When they are done and ready I’ll give you all a day and time. This drop of items will have a lot of the interesting jigs and spoons I showed in the past. It’ll be fun!

No fishing plans this week. I’ll be working this weekend. Probably be working more with summer break here. People take vacations and that means overtime. I’m not a big fan of fishing in the heat really. I’m sure I’ll do some night bite outings throughout the summer months. Don’t worry, I’ll still have plenty to post about!

Coming this weekend!

Good Morning! I’m starting off the day with some Coffee and a post. I’ll be doing some Restock and Releases this Saturday or Sunday. I’ll have Glass Fry going up. You can expect Pinky and the Brain, Pink Tiger, Golddigger, Perch Fry, Baby Gill and a couple Limited Run. You will also see a NEW take on the Ice Reaper in 5 New Hair Raising patterns. These are a result of a collaborative effort with longtime customer and friend Nicholas Colehour. We hope you like them and welcome your feedback and fish pics! The Ice Reaper is a great bait for Crappies and Perch. Adding Marabou to them will make for a deadly combination!

I’m Sorry…..
I want to apologize to my regulars that have been with me for a while. I was very focused on bringing out the new Glass Fry with round bend hook in the most popular patterns. A lot of you have these patterns with the sickle hook and wouldn’t be looking to buy them with a new hook. I really haven’t given you much to be excited about so far this year. I will try to fix that over the next couple of weeks. I’m looking at adding a few new patterns to the Glass Fry line, more custom Demon Tongue Spoons, Wrecking Balls and a few more surprises.

I hope a lot of you will be on ice this weekend! My ice went bye bye so I’ll be working on jigs and things!

Okay folks! Here’s what you all want to know! Here are the 9 patterns I will have available this coming weekend. I may have some others available as well. I was under the weather this weekend and didn’t get as much done as I wanted. That said I should have around 1,000 jigs available Saturday. I call that a good start! 8mybait.com

I will begin work on the jig listings on the website this week. You will be able to see them on the website with prices. They will NOT be available to purchase until December 14 at 7pm CST.

I have also decided to open things up to doing CUSTOM ORDER JIGS. What does this mean? If you would like a special pattern made for you I may be willing to do it. If you have a specific color combination or idea I am offering to make it. My requirement is a minimum order of at least 8 jigs. They can be of different sizes. Price will be quoted based on the pattern prior to work. Message me with if interested.

Looks like the cold is coming again this week! I will begin my ice updates!
