We survived week 3 of October Markets. It was all local but still kept us hopping. Now preparing this week for one in Kennewick. I'm mapping out my booth and making lists of things to take. Excited for this new one.

Congrats to this lady.

95 years of grace, warmth, and legecy. Happy birthday, Clarette! Over 60 years ago, Clarette opened these doors with a simple mission: serve quality, homestyle food and make every single person who walked through the door feel like family. She even hand-chose the iconic lily pad for our logo, creating the symbol of comfort and hospitality that still greets you on our sign today. Clarette has since retired, but her warmth, kindess, and hospitality are built into the very foundation of these booths. And to make this month even more special, Clarette just celebrated her 95th birthday! 🎂🎉 We are so honored to carry on the tradition she started.

Weekend sale number one was fantastic. It was a beautiful day on a lovely farm property. Now gearing up for weekend number two. We really love the pumpkin patch and atmosphere at Kovick Kountry Farm The most perfect place for a harvest market.

Early American homes were often spare by modern standards. Household goods required money, materials, and labor to acquire, and many families lived with a relatively limited number of furnishings and possessions. What they owned was expected to serve a purpose and remain useful for years.

Furniture might be locally made, inherited, purchased as circumstances allowed, or brought from an earlier home. Textiles, wooden bowls, baskets, and other household objects were used carefully, repaired, repurposed, and passed down when they still had value.

For those drawn to early American interiors today, sometimes the most original approach is simply to live with less. Authenticity can come as much from what is left out as from what is brought in.
