Broke out “Classic Steelhead Flies” by for a little inspiration. Some times it’s nice to get back to the simpler stuff. I took a few liberties but this one is close to the book version.

Our bucket list trip to is complete. This is truly an amazing place with wonderful people. Fishing was wonderful and it was great to share it with the love of my life.

Another good day on the flats! Caught more species than I can count (so, somewhere between 5 and 10). Some tough fishing but an amazing place. We’ll be hitting the flats of the lagoon tomorrow.

Great start to the trip though we’re still getting our feet under us. We had a few shots at larger GTs but they decided not to eat. All said we caught 20 fish and 5 species between the two of us. Looking forward th the lagoon tomorrow.

First steelhead on the swing for ! Awesome 2-salt fish on a beautiful morning. Caught on the Sickfoot Hoh-Bo Spey variant in purple. That fly is a killer!
