Front Porch has made the difficult decision to close the Market Day program as of August 1st, 2025. This decision was not made lightly and is part of a broader effort to make sure every Front Porch program is adequately supported and sustainable. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the Market Day program, hosted a market and helped support our goal of bringing fresh produce to older adults. The Cloverdale Senior Multipurpose Center celebrated their Market Day volunteers last week. Volunteers enjoyed a catered lunch and got to visit with one another during a lovely afternoon.

Last Wednesday, the Market Day coordinators at Stoneman Village organized a delightful lunch to honor their wonderful volunteers. Each volunteer was gifted a new Market Day tote bag as a token of our appreciation. The volunteers had a wonderful afternoon and everyone was thrilled to receive their new bags!

On Friday, Burbank Heights and Orchards celebrated their Market Day volunteers with a potluck, cupcakes and new Market Day totes. The volunteers have worked so hard this past year and we love celebrating each of them!

Come join our sister program, Ruth's Table, for their fundraiser and exhibit opening on October 26th. In collaboration with Scrap, their exhibit - Ripple Effect - showcases the artwork of local teaching artists and celebrates their positive impact on our communities. Enjoy some drinks, local bites, art activations, and a live DJ at Ruth's Table's beautiful courtyard in the Mission. The artwork sales for this exhibit go to both Ruth’s Table and Scrap. Stoneman Village celebrated 12 years of Market Day! It was a great event with fresh produce, sweet treats and new Market Day re-useable bags for all shoppers. The morning consisted of lots of happy shoppers, a produce giveaway, music and a fun raffle. Congratulations Stoneman Village on 12 great years of Market Day!

A very successful Market Day Opening today at Presidio Gate Apartments in San Francisco. So many happy shoppers came through to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. Lots of big smiles from shoppers who really enjoyed having Market Day back...it has been missed!

We have a Market Day Re-Opening to share! Yesterday Market Day opened at Oak Center Towers in Oakland. The staff and volunteers brought vibrant energy, as did many shoppers! Everyone was happy to be back shopping for fresh produce! It was a great morning!
