Lyon County you make my job difficult! The Open Class Flowers at this year's Lyon County Fair were just amazing! And there were so many!! As I was judging I just couldn't help but smile knowing that flowers bring joy to others like it does for me! It was a hard task picking the overall champions!

It was an honor to design the flowers for my cousin's daughter! Not so many years ago (well it SEEMS like not so many years ago🤣) I did the flowers for my cousin! Chad you and Ronnie haven't changed at all!❤️ Congratulations Logan and Jenna on your marriage! Rewind 2 months ago... we did this beautiful blue and white wedding, elegant and gardeny (if thats a word🤣) at the same time!
I love the fresh look of chamomile and the texture of the different white flowers. Scabiosa, roses, lisianthus, stock, and ranunculus. All white, yet a slightly different shade. It all still matches ❤️ Congrats Rylee and Tyson! It was my honor to do your May wedding!!

And here are the finished designs!!! This wedding was so much fun, all the color! 5 Family Ranch looked like it had stepped into a summer flower garden!! Hand picking flowers from , , and my daughter Annika's flower garden right outside my door made for the perfect balance of eye-popping color! Congratulations Tannyr and Josie, your wedding was amazing! Thanks for choosing us to be a part of your special day!!

Up early to cut flowers for Josie's wedding this weekend!
Couldn't help but stop to admire all the beauty in the garden (as well as some cherry tomatoes for breakfast!)

This wedding had the most beautiful colors!! And the peonies😍
For this wedding I collaborated with the bride to order bulk flowers for her wedding! They picked up their flowers the day before and she and her bridemaids, family, and friends had a fun afternoon designing the bouquets and reception and church decor!
You all did an amazing job!!!

Here we are in the middle of summer! We have had cold, heat, wind, drought, wet, did I say wind?
It's been challenging for sure!
What's growing well for you?
What's been the biggest challenge so far?
For me its been keeping the hanging baskets looking great. Even though I fertilize weekly, we haven't needed to water much lately. And the fertilizer gets leached out when it pours rain right after its been fertilized!
This is one of the reasons why we add slow release fertilizer to every hanging basket and planter we grow. There is something to feed them in times like this!
This is a great time to trim things back to get rid of leggy plants and get them to re-bloom!
Hope summer has been fantastic! Soak it up!

Coming home after a much needed week at the lake I greet the dogs and head straight to the garden!
I always marvel at how fast things have grown in a week. The weeds always seem to grow even faster🤣
I always get the garden in around Memorial Day. With the warm air and soil temsp things seem to just settle right in!
The cut flower bed Annika is working on looks like it will produce flowers for some weddings this summer too!
