Al experienced severe epileptic seizures and ‘blackouts.’ During these blackouts he saw visions or mental movies, which he later described to Karen, who then helped him convert these stories into novels. Al’s seizures caused dyslexia and other reading problems as well as writing difficulties. Karen translated and wove his ramblings into a magical tale. Prior to the onset of the seizures, Al worked in both print and broadcast journalism as well as being a paranormal investigator. Karen and Al shared a love of history, especially of the ancient Americans, and genealogy.

I went to try to have a vacation in Florida. And fell the next morning after getting there and broke my left hip actually the left femur. So I ended up having surgery two days later and it's been a slow recovery

To all who have been following us, I apologize for not keeping up with the site. As you know Al passed away April 9, 2020. No it was not co vid. I know I have some files somewhere in all our stuff of new books we had in the works. I will try to finish them and get them processed. Hopefully it won't take too long to find them.

Whenever I am done grieving and can keep my mind on task, I will find all of our notes and try to get another book ready to publish. It's only been 9 -10 months since Al passed. I am not ready yet. Hopefully I will get there soon. Until then keep me in your prayers.
