Big Little Truths by Liane Moriarty - It’s finally here…the sequel to Big Little Lies! This story stands on its own, though–you don’t have to have read Big Little Lies (or seen the HBO series) to enjoy Moriarty’s newest page-turner.

The Devil Knows Her Name - Horror and dark fantasy author C. N. Vair sets this spellbinding tale in a fictional Appalachian town where a witch must stop the devil from collecting his due.

Crocodilopolis - John Manuel Arias delivers a gripping tale of dark family secrets, plenty of scandal, and plans for revenge that may involve…wait for it…crocodiles.

Daggerbound - T. Kingfisher returns to the cozy fantasy world of Swordheart with this charming sequel. The final book in the series releases next year!

Dey by Edwidge Danticat - This vivid and timely story moves from Haiti to Brooklyn to Miami, following a woman whose sense of self and family are called into question after a random act of violence one sunny Florida day.

The Rise and Fall of the Artificial State - Historian Jill Lepore builds on her 2024 essay in The New Yorker, exploring what it means to be ruled by machines and increasingly dependent on data. The book is alarming but also an inspiring wake-up call that change can happen.
