You all have been waiting so patiently, and we are so appreciative!
While we are still working diligently on getting nursery back up and running, here’s an article that answers many questions you all have been asking. We’ll give a firm date for our grand reopening soon!
This article is from Tom Oder, his gardening blog, articles, and garden event calendar are fantastic and so worth checking out

We are shocked to make another update so soon, but it is thanks to all of you, that we are.
It is because of each and every individual, the community rallying behind us, supporting us in more ways than we could type up, helping us search for a path forward- even offering your own properties to us 🤯, that we were able to find a new partner in such a short period of time.

WE HAVE A NEW VENUE!!

Again, we cannot thank each and every single one of you enough. The outpouring of love and support that facilitated our growth over the years, has helped us find a new home in a time of need. Our new partnership and location gives us space and potential to grow even bigger than before.

What does this mean in the meantime? It means we will be completely closed to the public effective today. We are bringing this update just hours after confirmation. Now we are going to be busy at work relocating all plants, materials, and equipment.
We also decided to cancel our farewell party at the end of this month. In its place we will be holding a celebratory grand re-opening. Which is much preferred in our opinion!
Our tentative time to re-open is early September, but we will confirm the date as soon as we can.

Our posting will resume back to normal while we move locations. Our typical educational content, beautiful plants, and maybe even some fun moving pictures.

So stay tuned! And again, thank you. Pat yourself on the back and come celebrate with us once we re-open

We have an update! Please go see our latest post!

It is with a heavy heart that we make this update. Unfortunately, the Native Plant Education Center is closing at the end of this month. Our partner in this project, GMC, is leaving Warner Robins, which means our partnership with the City of Warner Robins will also come to an end.

While we are uncertain of what the future holds for us, this isn’t the end. Ben and Eleanor can say goodbye to a physical location but neither could walk away from native plants, environmental stewardship, and providing educational opportunities.

Before we close, we'd love to celebrate the community we've built together. We're planning a final gathering on Saturday the 25th. We would be honored to visit with, share stories, showcase gardens we’ve helped grow, and connect with fellow native plant enthusiasts.

It has been our privilege to be a part of your journey at any stage- whether it was discovering natives or putting on the polishing touches. From the bottom of our hearts we want to sincerely thank each and every single one of you and the community as a whole for the support, encouragement, enthusiasm, and friendships that grew with the nursery.

This chapter might be coming to a close but we look forward to sharing news of the next iteration with you all when we can.

Let’s talk about the Buttonbush, Cephalanthus occidentalis!
This pollinator powerhouse is a visual beauty that is also ecologically vital, especially for us and the wetlands here in Georgia. Here are the bullet points for what this shrub does (and why you should plant it in your landscape)
• Incredibly nectar rich and sweetly fragrant flowers. That are actually comprised of dozens of tiny tubular blossoms.
• Attracts butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, and some of our largest and showiest moths
• Larval host plant for caterpillars of over 20 species
• Feeds dozens of waterfowl and songbird species with seed heads
• Provides excellent nesting sites and protective shelter for songbirds, shorebirds, and amphibians
• A highly adaptive root system. Which can tolerate flooding, anaerobic soil, several feet of standing water, and most soil types
• Amazing erosion control, especially in water margins
• While there’s not an exact volume, they can help absorb and process thousands of gallons of water per year
• Filters runoff pollutants (which causes water eutrophication- harmful algae blooms) It can remove petroleum products and up to 63% - 77% of nitrogen and 85% - 94% of phosphorus from stormwater runoff.
• It can be pruned to have a tree form for a rain garden or just as a gorgeous centerpiece of your garden

So if you have a wet spot in your landscape, a pond you can’t seem to handle algae blooms in, want to attract waterfowl, host caterpillars (like the Royal Walnut moth or Zebra Swallowtail butterflies), or see all the birds and pollinators that it feeds you should probably plant a Buttonbush

We have the very popular Agastache ‘Blue Fortune’ back in! Our Steeplebush is starting to bloom, it’s a less known native but is so gorgeous I almost want to gatekeep it (almost). We also have ‘New Vintage Red’ yarrow that is starting to pop.
Come see us this Thursday and Saturday! From 10am- 2pm, we’re located at 115 Prince Street

We’ve had the best problem to have lately- our plants have been going to new homes before we can snap a picture of their pretty blooms!
But we’ve restocked our favorite summer bloomers, Purple Coneflowers, Black Eyed Susan, Oakleaf hydrangeas heavily.
Come see us tomorrow, Thursday the 14th, from 10am- 2pm!
We’re located at 115 Prince Street in Warner Robins
