Since I was having trouble putting the elements together like I wanted for the side of the potato bin, I began carving this new project (making number 3 I currently have in progress).

Can anyone guess what it is going to be?

Yesterday, I finished the background on the large front image of the patio bin. Today was more sanding and wood on one of the sides. After that, I started preparing the sketch for that side. However, I was struggling for some reason and just moved on to another project. I'm unfortunately rather confident I will not complete this for Pioneer Picnic this weekend.

The lid and rim are now complete. I started more wood prep and design plan on the bin itself today. There are many hours and alot of work to go, but it is taking shape!

Not much progress on burning today, but i made good progress on the overall finished project. In doing so, I got some much needed therapy in my studio today.
As much as I love to see something old and no longer used take in a new life, there are challenges that come along with the process. There is definitely most work and patience required to prepare the wood for is transformation.

More progress on the LOTR potato bin today. It's slowly taking shape.
More wood prep, design, and burning to go.
Each side of the rim takes 4-5 hours on the burn alone.
What i had planned to use simple design on had morphed into something more, but i an excited for the end product.
