I love Brimfield—it’s like Christmas three times a year! 🎄✨

We’ll be set up at Auction Acres on Tuesday, then spending the rest of the week shopping, treasure hunting, and hopefully bringing home some incredible finds!

Warren Exchange will be closed September 8–10 and will reopen Friday, September 11. See you when we get back—with plenty of new treasures! 🔍💰

Not our regular Counter Shot… this one comes to you from EGYPT! 🇪🇬🐪

And before anyone asks—YES, that backdrop is REAL! 😂 No green screen, no superimposed pyramids… ZAZA is actually there!

Our Whatnot host ZAZA is back home in Egypt for the month, spending some time with family and making the rest of us a little jealous. I hear it is tough in Egypt…but being in Warren with out ZAZA is tougher!

We know his Whatnot fans miss him almost as much as we do! ❤️ Things just aren’t quite the same around Warren Exchange without him behind the camera.

Enjoy Egypt, ZAZA! 🇪🇬 We’ll keep your seat warm and try not to sell everything before you get back.

A Southern gentleman walked in today and asked, “well Ma’am would you like to go on a treasure hunt?”

OF COURSE I DO! 😂 Those are my favorite!

He handed me a tiny jewelry box filled mostly with costume jewelry. We started digging through the drawers, little bags, and all the random odds and ends…and sure enough, hiding in there was a tiny 10K gold pendant! 💰✨

I LOVE going through boxes like this. Jewelry boxes, junk drawers, inherited bags of jewelry—bring them in! I’m always amazed at how often I find a little piece of gold hiding among the costume jewelry.

COUNTER SHOT 📸 — All that glitters isn’t gold!

These two earrings came across the counter. Both are gold-colored. Both look like they could be gold.

But only ONE is actually gold. 👀

This is why we test.

At Warren Exchange, we take some of the mystery out of selling your jewelry. We do our acid testing right on the counter, in front of you, and explain what we’re seeing along the way.

I always say — don’t assume something isn’t gold just because you’re not sure. Throw it in the box and bring it along. I’d rather test 20 pieces that aren’t gold than have you accidentally leave the real one sitting at home!

Sometimes the treasure is hiding in plain sight. 🏴‍☠️💰

📸 COUNTER SHOT: Yankees in Red Sox Country ⚾️

We are deep in Red Sox country here at Warren Exchange, but you’d be surprised how often Mickey Mantle makes his way across our counter.

And really, I get it.

Mantle was one of those players who transcended the Yankees–Red Sox rivalry. You didn’t have to be a Yankees fan to recognize greatness—and The Mick was one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, to ever play the game. ⚾️

Today this vintage Mickey Mantle pinback came in, complete with the red, white & blue ribbon and dangling baseballs.

Perfect timing, because it’ll look pretty great next to the Mickey Mantle autographed baseball we just sent to PSA/DNA for authentication. 🤞

Apparently even in Red Sox Nation, The Mick gets a pass. 😂

Have old sports memorabilia hiding in a drawer, attic or basement? Bring it in. Red Sox, Yankees… we buy it all. 😉

🕰️ COUNTER SHOT: TIME TO LOVE ❤️

Everyone knows Warren Exchange buys gold, jewelry and coins… but we also buy watches and timepieces!

This entire collection came across the counter from a customer liquidating her father-in-law’s collection — everything from mechanical watches to quartz.

And then there was this one. 😂

👉 SWIPE and zoom in to see the slightly risqué watch I pulled out of the pile. Apparently it’s always Time to Love. 😏

As for me, I’m an Apple Watch person — but strictly out of necessity.

If you’ve been in the shop, you already know that organization is not my strong suit. I used to lose my cell phone, use the store phone to call it…and inevitably lose BOTH phones and have to walk next door and ask someone to call me. 😵‍💫

So now I wear an Apple Watch specifically so I can make my phone beep.

Problem solved!

Except for the days I forget to wear the Apple Watch. 🤦‍♀️

The brain fog is REAL.

Anyway…back to the watches. 😂 If you have an old watch collection sitting in a drawer, basement or estate — bring it in! Mechanical, quartz, working or not. You never know what might be hiding in there.

Things I love…coins, art, and dogs. If you came into the shop around 10 years ago you would have met my girl Birdie. She “worked” here on and off for a good portion of her life. I even had a custom hobo nickel made of her showcasing her infamous toofus. (I have had blankets, wallets, hoodies, and pillows made of her) When I ordered stickers for the business, I always made Birdie face stickers too. Lots of places where a Warren Exchange sticker was slapped, you will find a Birdie sticker close by. I have been in business 17 years, but I had her for 18 years and 2 months. She was like my first child. We said goodbye this morning. She was the best dog ever. RIP Birdie.

🪙 COUNTER SHOT: CAN YOU SPOT THE STERLING? 🪙

This entire bucket of “silver” came into Warren Exchange — the kind of stuff that’s been sitting in basements, garages and cabinets for YEARS.

Most of it? Silver plate.

But hiding in the pile was ONE sterling silver teapot. 👀

Look at the two teapots in the second photo. Can you tell which one is sterling?

👉 The one on the RIGHT!

And here’s why it’s worth bringing ALL of it in:

💰 Sterling teapot: I paid $700
💰 The ENTIRE black tote of silver plate: I paid $40

That’s a pretty big difference for two things that can look awfully similar!

So if you have a tote, box or cabinet full of old “silver” and have no idea what’s sterling and what’s plated — don’t throw it away and don’t assume it’s all plate. Bring it in.

I’ll sort through it and figure out exactly what you have.
