The Glass Underground Glass Fusing studio offering workshops, studio rentals, retail sales, glass gallery and online shop.

The Glass Underground is a full-service glass fusing and public access studio, offering comprehensive studio rentals, glass fusing supplies, and an art and gift gallery. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better-appointed studio space. There's a wide-open work area with movable work tables and a whole wall of strip cutting stations. There is also an adjunct classroom for powders, plasters, and chemicals. We have nineteen kilns of all shapes and sizes, an incredibly extensive mold library, and a fully furnished cold working room containing all the equipment you need for professional quality glass finishing.

T.G.U. Story Time 🥹

During Dori Settles (Dori Settles ) class in May, Billy attended and loved the instruction she gave! He explained to her that he wanted to recreate the shoe that he ran the New York Marathon in when he turned 80! It however proved to be a bit too complicated for him at the present moment during the workshop and was hoping to get more advice post-class. When Dori heard the story she was moved! It really resonated with her reasoning for continuing her series “ Shoes as Storytellers”. Dori told Billy she would make the shoe for him and they arranged a trade, which included a beautiful vase he made. We wanted to share the final shoe; Billy opening the package with his reaction; and the vase that we sent back to Dori.

We also just launched two more Dori Settles classes for next year! Check them out on our website, “Hats off to Pate De Verre” and “Shoes as Storytellers”.
