Moonlit Petrichor is a place where the creative outcasts thrive. In 2020 I started Moonlit Petrichor as a way to sell the overabundance of soap I had created. Not sure what to expect. 2 years later I found my first location and expanded Moonlit to welcome other local artists. It doesn’t stop there. I also carry a carefully curated selection of handmade candles all made in house by yours truly, fea

turing 20-30 custom blends you won’t find anywhere else. Along with of coffees, teas, incense, seeds, tarot cards and books. All sourced from small businesses that are either, woman owned, based in the Midwest, and/or LGBTQ friendly. And all ethically sourced and cruelty free! As a whole, Moonlit Petrichor is a chill, eclectic, boutique, located in a small Missouri town. Where authenticity and ethical standards matter. Where my love for animals shines through my cruelty free practices. Along with welcoming the weird and misplaced artists. At Moonlit Petrichor we believe in equality and love and acceptance for all. Another Ai rant

In my unsuccessful search to find a lemonade vendor for my Practical Magic: A Magic filled weekend, presented by Moonlit Petrichor event, I noticed almost ALL local lemonade vendors use Gen Ai 🤦‍♀️.

I saw a post this morning from a Renaissance fair in Ohio saying they will not allow any Ai logos, designs, flyers, or any other Gen Ai at their events. And you know what, SAME! Me and my circle support artists! We support imagination, effort and ethical practices. If you haven't found a more ethical way to create a logo or advertise your business than I don't want you representing mine. Take a few minutes to learn a free software like Canva, make a little sketch, ask a friend or just write it out.

As you all know, I use Canva/Silhouette studios for most everything I do. My currant logo, was a sketch I did one random evening while watching YouTube. My original logo was drawn by a local artist Juliann Pemberton. I sketch out most of my logo ideas and if I can't make exactly what I want I play around in Canva and piece it together and then spend hours editing it to get what I want.
I tried Canva Ai one time, before I knew how bad Ai was. I hated it! I haven't used any form of Gen Ai since.
If my stance on Gen Ai bothers you, then move along.
