We hope you find something you love, reminds you of loved ones and helps tell your own story. Hi, I'm Lisa. The Gray Shed is my shop in Warrior, Alabama. Every design I cut starts as original hand drawn artwork, chosen one piece at a time, never a bundle of stock shapes. I cut from a variety of high quality, wood species and other materials like maple, mahogany, walnut, leather and acrylic, etc. "Painting" with the materials in layers with creative use of wood grains and material textures. I assemble, and finish each piece by hand in small runs. The work is almost always about something particular: pets, a hometown, a family name, somebody worth remembering. The idea is to "Live your life's story" with functional pieces or decor that operates as a great prompt for a story you can tell. It's a family operation with my name on it. My husband sources vintage and estate finds we sell alongside the handmade work, and other family members each bring a specific talent. I run the West Virginia Genealogy and Genealogy of the Virginias groups here on Facebook, more than 12,000 members between them, and The Front Porch Community on my own website. The Porch Light Post is our newsletter and highlights our community news for people who like family stories, long evenings, and the kind of talk that happens on an actual porch. Added to the Warrior booth, locked in our glass case (so marbles don't go anywhere they shouldn't 😅) are the Marble Solitaire games. The design is an exclusive for The Gray Shed, the instructions are engraved on the back, two games, one is solitaire the other is a two-player game. Designed to be decor as well as a fun pass time, the marbles are sourced from a U.S. based glass company and selected for their color schemes. This one is the Moonstone set. Packaged for gift-giving.

Statement wall art pieces like this one in our booth at Gardendale Flea Mall & Antique Center Group are handmade from many different species of hardwood in our little gray shed in Warrior, Alabama. This one is an example of our 24"x24" patriotic eagle, we have dozens of designs and all of them are available to order in a variety of sizes for that perfect spot on your wall.
