Something to brighten your dark Winter nights!

Ace guitarist and studio owner (Sevenview Studios) Clint Curtis was able to really show-off the sound capabilities of the new UFO (Upper Frequency Optimized) humbuckers.

UFOs give you the bite and transparency of single coil pickups in a brand new flavor without the annoying 60 cycle hum!

Stevie Ray is someone who used the secret of a dummy coil in his Strat tremolo routing. Why should you have to deal with hum!???

Here are the raw UFO pickup tones for discriminating pickup devotees.

No inspiring playing here! (Count on it!)

Just a super simple A/B sound demo comparing Gibson Burstbuckers in a much-modified 70's era Les Paul Custom vs. M&V UFO humbuckers mounted in a 2000's Ibanez RG.

The UFOs in the video use AlNiCo 2 magnets, which are the least bright version. A lot more bright crispiness can be had with AlNiCo 5s on up to FeCrCo 5 magnets, which are the brightest. They are easily as bright as Strat pickups. Except that they don't hum at all.

And please go easy on the truly amateur video and the flu-ish pickup designer who made it. I wanted to get this video out to satisfy all the requests for sound clips, and there were no gun-slinger guitarists available in time.

Classic P Bass perfection! Just beautiful to look at and play.

But Doug Howard (Todd Rungren’s Utopia, Edgar Winter, Touch) wasn’t satisfied with the sound of his new 2022 American Professional Precision Bass. He thought it just sounded like a six string guitar and needed more bottom, thickness and range.

He got all of that and more with the latest mk4 Atlas P Bass pickup. It’s been described as the missing link between passive and active basses.

I am especially happy because of these new hum-free P90 pickups!

I’ve always loved the sound of P90 pickups but I also always hated how much they hum.

These new direct retrofit P 90s give you the snarl and snap of a single coil P90 but without any 60 cycle hum.

With unique FeCrCo (iron chromium cobalt) adjustable magnet pole pieces, these pickups deliver a wide, rich tonal palette, with both a tight and focused bottom, present mids plus high end sparkle.
