After failing to successfully oppose retail changes coming to the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington DC, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors. In anticipation of Nya heading off to college and being less able to conduct business locally, we are also changing course and will begin to seek a tenant for our Federal Hill location in Baltimore.
This is jarring news (especially for us)! But let's be clear - while we are closing the retail locations, we are not closing the business. hunnybunny will continue to take orders online as we always have. Same product. Same quality. Same process.
Having operated in the same space for the vast majority of their' lives (over eleven years), the changes certainly loom large. But the lessons are valuable. In addition to learning how to navigate through the uncertainty, they are also learning how to best manage their assets to maximize capital returns and passive income -- adding "landlord" to their list of titles and experiences.
So what's next for hunnybunny? Nya and Zuri are figuring it out and making the tough decisions. Thank you for sticking with them and continuing to support them as they do so.
