Applications for the Made in DC Retail Residency close this Friday, August 21 at 11:59 PM ET.

Presented by the DC Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) and curated by Steadfast Supply, this residency was created to give Made in DC Certified businesses more than a place on the shelf.

Selected participants will have the opportunity to grow their retail presence through curated product placement, educational workshops, one-on-one business support, marketing, community events, and connections with fellow local makers.

✨ Showcase your products in a curated retail environment
✨ Strengthen your retail strategy and brand
✨ Connect with customers, fellow entrepreneurs, and the DC maker community
✨ Gain practical tools and support to help grow your business

Not Made in DC Certified yet? Don’t let that stop you from applying.

Made in DC certification is FREE, and eligible DC businesses can apply to become certified. To qualify, your business must meet all four criteria:

📍 Your principal office or business is physically located in DC
📄 You hold a current, active DC Business License
🏠 The majority of owners are DC residents or 51%+ of employees are DC residents
🛠️ At least 51% of your product is designed, produced, assembled, or manufactured in DC

Additional documentation may be required depending on your business type.

Already certified? Apply for the Retail Residency by Friday, August 21 at 11:59 PM ET.

Not certified yet? Visit DSLBD’s Made in DC page to review the requirements and apply for certification.
