We provide professional attire and life-skills training to low-income women, assisting them as they re-enter the workforce. All services are available at no charge and by referral to women in need.

Our Confidence Carousel Coaching Activity was back at N Street Village—and we were excited to put confidence in motion with our career coaching event! 💼

Clients rotated through four hands-on coaching sessions, practicing everything from first impressions and elevator pitches to confident communication and answering interview questions. In just a few minutes at each station, they had the chance to learn, practice, and connect with a different coach.

We’re so grateful to N Street Village for welcoming us back and trusting Suited for Change to be a resource for their clients. There’s something special about bringing career support directly into the spaces where women are already building community. ❤️

Before we officially turn the page to fall, we're taking one more look back at August's Wonderland Happy Hour! ☀️

For August's Confident Conversations: Wonderland Ballroom Edition , our theme was Vacation State of Mind—and we asked our community about summer accomplishments, work-life balance, and even the summer pieces they're not quite ready to put away. From volunteers and board members to one of our referral partners, it was a fun reminder that community isn't just important when we're working toward our goals—it's part of how we recharge, reset, and keep moving forward.

A special Feel Good Friday for a very special reason. 💛Today, we’re celebrating Ashley and the new chapter she’s stepping into with her new job. Meet Ashley, a Suited for Change client who recently visited our boutique as she prepared for a new chapter in her career and life.

During her appointment, Ashley found more than professional clothing. She found a space where she felt respected, heard, and encouraged—and left feeling refreshed, confident, and excited to bring some color back into her work wardrobe. ✨

We’re incredibly grateful to Ashley for sharing her story and allowing us to see Suited for Change through her eyes.

Her experience is a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do. Every styling appointment is about more than clothing. It’s about helping women recognize their own potential, embrace new opportunities, and take their next step toward economic independence.

Happy National Intern Day! ☀️💛 Today, we're celebrating our incredible summer intern, Olivia!

From capturing the moments that tell our story to supporting client services, and community events, Olivia has brought creativity, and a contagious enthusiasm to everything she's touched this summer.

As a recent graduate from George Washington University, she began behind the camera documenting our largest fundraiser of the year, Suited to Celebrate, and continued to show her support by welcoming clients into the boutique, or finding new ways to showcase our mission through her photography skills. Olivia reminded us that every act of service—big or small—helps build confidence and community.
