The Kwanzan is one of the most celebrated cherry trees found around the Thomas Jefferson Tidal Basin and is a favorite during the annual National Cherry Blossom Festival.

Known for its beautiful spring blossoms and full, dense crown, the Kwanzan Cherry Tree can grow approximately 26–39 feet tall and can live for more than 100 years with proper care.

These are the same type of Yoshino cherry trees celebrated around the Thomas Jefferson Tidal Basin during the National Cherry Blossom Festival. In early spring, the branches fill with clusters of fragrant whitish-pink blossoms before the leaves appear.

Yoshino cherry trees can live for more than 100 years and grow approximately 16 to 40 feet tall. They do best in full sun to partial shade with moist, well-drained soil.
