That bubbling is exactly what you want to see. 👀
When you mix epoxy resin, tiny air bubbles can become trapped throughout the resin. Under vacuum, those bubbles expand and rise to the surface, allowing the trapped air to escape.

A few vacuum tips for resin artists:
• Don’t fill your container too high — resin can rise significantly during degassing.
• Let it foam up, then wait for the bubbling to calm down before releasing the vacuum.
• If you’re working with a fast-curing resin, don’t leave it under vacuum longer than necessary.
The goal isn’t simply “more vacuum” — it’s giving the trapped air enough time to escape without letting your resin overflow or cure in the chamber.
Save this for your next resin pour. ✨

And if you’ve been thinking about adding a vacuum chamber to your resin setup, now’s a good time.
Vacuum Chamber in our US store is at just $90, our lowest price ever! No promo code needed — simply select the available discount on the product page. www.wisedry.net

♻️Don’t throw away your silica gel.
When most orange silica gel turns dark green, it’s time to recharge it. 🔥

How:
Step 1. Spread the silica gel evenly across the baking sheet and avoid creating a thick layer.
Step 2. Set the temperature to 250℉ (120℃).
Step 3. Periodically open the oven to check the color of the silica gel.

Checking is the key:
Baking time varies depending on the amount of silica gel and how saturated it is, typically taking 1-3 hours.
We recommend checking every 30-60 minutes and stirring the gel with a spoon to:
• See if the silica gel at the bottom has returned to orange.
• Ensure more even heating.

🌸When Should You Recharge Your Silica Gel?
Here’s a complete guide to what the different colors of your flower-drying silica gel mean.

As silica gel absorbs moisture, its indicator color gradually changes. Here’s how to read the different stages:

🟠Bright Orange — Ready to Use
The silica gel is in a dry state with plenty of moisture-absorbing capacity. It’s ready for your next flower-drying project.

Darker Orange — Still Usable
The color has started to deepen, indicating that moisture has been absorbed. It still has drying capacity, but it’s a good idea to keep an eye on the color.

Faded Orange — Getting Closer to Saturation
More moisture has accumulated in the silica gel, leaving less capacity available for drying. For consistent results, consider recharging it before your next project.

🟢 Green — Time to Recharge
The silica gel has reached a high moisture level and should be recharged before being used for another flower-drying project.

Save this guide for your next flower preservation project! 🌼
And follow us—we’ll show you how to recharge your flower-drying silica gel by baking it in our next video.

If you love Queen Anne’s lace, save this reel!

😌A little flower fact: Queen Anne’s Lace isn’t one single flower — what looks like one delicate bloom is actually a cluster of many tiny flowers arranged together. 🤍

That’s what gives it its soft, lace-like appearance and beautiful texture. Sometimes, it’s the smallest details that make a bouquet unforgettable.

See the differences!
Two ways to preserve flowers, two completely different looks. 🌸
🌿 Hang-dried flowers — naturally dried for a more relaxed, rustic look, with their own unique texture and shape.
✨ Silica gel dried flowers — helps retain more of the flower’s original shape, color, and details.

Different methods, different character. Which look would you choose for your next floral project?
