Namiki's bold 2025 Limited Edition Emperor Fountain Pen, "Blooming Flowers in Profusion" is available at Fahrney's Pens.

Each flower is rendered with a different technique: Hira Maki-e, where designs are painted flat and polished to a smooth finish; Taka Maki-e, which builds raised relief for dimensional detail; Raden, which inlays shimmering fragments of mother-of-pearl; Rankaku, which incorporates the delicate texture of quail eggshell; and Togidashi Maki-e, where layers of lacquer and sprinkled powders are polished back to reveal a luminous, unified surface.

This is truly a work of art - a museum quality heirloom for one of very few.
