Cary Caldwell began as a Frager's Hardware cashier in 2010 after a 39-year career with another hardware store that closed. She was so popular there that many of her customers followed her to Frager’s, where she developed an even broader fan base. “Customers who haven’t seen me in a few days ask me, ‘Ms. Cary, how are you doing? We haven’t seen you in a while.’ They care. You develop a relationship with the community over time. That’s part of our company’s culture, but it’s also on each one of us to be welcoming and get to know our customers. The effort is always rewarded.”
