Long before an audience presses play on S.O.S. (), this poster offers their first invitation into its world.
Created by artist Michael André (), the artwork captures so much of what we wanted S.O.S. to feel like—mysterious, unsettling, a little strange, and filled with details that take on new meaning once you've seen the film.
And if you've followed our festival journey, you've seen this image travel right along with us.
It's been on flyers, festival programs, social media posts, theater displays, and promotional materials as S.O.S. has traveled from city to city. In many ways, Michael's artwork has become the visual face of the film.
That's something worth celebrating.
There is a much longer story behind this poster—how Michael André became involved, the ideas that inspired the artwork, the details hidden within it, and how his interpretation helped give S.O.S. a visual identity beyond the screen.
We'll be sharing that story soon.
For today, though, we simply want to put the spotlight where it belongs:
