Many of our pen designs are inspired by the Pamlico Sound and River as well as the surrounding areas of North Carolina which is rich in history and lore. ard Teach better known as Blackbeard. The Outer Banks Barrier Islands are the Gateway to The Graveyard of The Atlantic where thousands of ships have come to lay at the bottom of the North Carolina coast since the sixteenth century. The surrounding area is rich in wildlife, agriculture, and seafood and also the home of the lost colony and local Indian tribes like the Pamouik and Croatoan Indians. All pens are original and one-of-a-kind handcrafted with precision and superior materials in Washington North Carolina on the Pamlico River. Happy customer taking one of my custom pens home with him to London England. I’m amazed at the reach this little town has l am always meeting people from around the world.

What an awesome choice also. This pen is a true reflection on the maritime heritage here in Washington North Carolina.

The pen 🖊️ is made from machined stainless steel a common maritime metal known for its corrosion resistance and a pice of Longleaf Pine driftwood. Longleaf Pine has been used for making tar pitch to boards in boat construction.

They also choose a custom made wooden box with the longitude and latitude of Washington on top, along the side the 250 year anniversary of “The Original Washington” engraved on it.

Can’t help to think that this is a subtle reminder of who won the war and broke a way from English rule, the true revolution from a king.

Anyway that pen is England bound.

As our nation approaches its Semicentennial, we are so proud to celebrate the 250th Birthday of Washington, NC!

While many institutions bear the name, our town was the very first to be named after George Washington, changing from 'Forks of the Tar' to Washington in December of 1776.
