Antique Storage Box with Vintage Yardstick Bottom, Upcycled Desk Mail Organizer

https://springcreekfinds.etsy.com/listing/4601315981/antique-storage-box-with-vintage

An antique storage box with a vintage yardstick bottom turns a former Heide’s Improved Cream Wafer box into useful upcycled storage. Its open tray and preserved label make it a distinctive desk bill organizer for anyone keeping letters, bills, or small office supplies close at hand. The yardstick markings line the base, while the original box joints and weathered character remain visible.

The box is the bottom of an antique Heide's Improved Cream Wafer box. There is still part of the label that has been Mod Podged to preserve it and then a clear coat added to highlight all the patina and character. This box is truly old and has all the characteristics from back in the day, including detailed box joints. The wood is light and there is some warping, as you would expect in something this old. Truly a one of a kind!

The yardsticks have been cut to size and finished with a couple coats of Shellac. Outside dimensions measure approximately 8 1/2" wide x 12 1/4" deep by 2 1/8" tall. The inside dimensions measure approximately 8" wide x 111 3/4" deep x 1 3/4" tall.
