Final Frontier Toys

Once again sorry for the lack of posts. We spent MONTHS getting the Ben Franklin store open recently and that has been insane so far. We picked the right location for certain!

Anyway, we are working on the Final Frontier side of the store now. Hopefully we will open by Memorial Day. I will start to post updates and photos here as we progress. We will be starting to accept applications for the store in the next couple of days. If interested drop me a message.

As for the website and Vintage news, it has been an insane buying year. I have not been super active in searching but the collections have been stampeding towards us. While virtually no Star Wars (which is odd) we have picked up just about everything else we are known for. The most massive haul is the hundreds of TMNT Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures and accessories. We picked up an insane collection with hundreds of graded figures (and ungraded) as well as displays, Ooze and a ton of modern Turtles as well. Add to that an excellent collection of MOTU Masters of the Universe figures and toys. As well as a nice run of Top Toys MOTU items came to us along with tons of catalogs and paperwork from Mattel and Playmates. In the collection were a number of pre production TMNT cards and carded figures. Too much stuff to even imagine. Photos will be posted here as time permits.

To go along with these items we have an excellent collection of Transformers (mostly graded) as well as Mego Superheros (also mostly graded). There is also a small but good collection of GI Joe ARAH, Super Powers, Secret Wars and random other items from D&D, Visionaries, Gobots, Micronauts, Battle Beast, Dragonriders of the Styx, Battlestar Galactica, Black Hole and still more.

With everything going in it may take some time to get all this inventoried and photographed. If you are looking for something in particular drop me a message.

Good riddance to 2025. As many of you know we have been moving for the past YEAR and it was not fun. We moved our three stores (Final Frontier, Ben Franklin and Ben Franklin Books as well as our warehouse and home) at boy did I miscalculate. We ended up moving over 17, yes 17, semi trucks of product and fixtures. Nightmare. But it is about over now thankfully so forward we go.

As I was preoccupied almost all of last year it has made this years update smaller than my usual massive extravaganda of glorious vintage toys. Still it will be better than anything else you will find online. There is an excellent assortment of carded Star Wars with a strong emphasis on ESB, some boxes Vehicles as well as a large assortment of loose Star Wars figures and vehicles.

There are other toys of course. A good collection of MOC Masters of the Universe as well as some Shoguns and Godaikins and similar robots, an excellent Vintage Star Trek collection, some Mego toys, a couple Transformers and a few other good pieces wrapping up this update. More news coming soon. Now that the terrible update is once again vanquished I will be back to setting up the Super Store. I will be posting updates soon with photos of our store coming in a couple months or so in Washington, IL near Peoria. Hope to see you all there!

Now that the cell phone, camera and popcorn crises are over (cold weather persists however) I can get to some updates and info on the coming changes here. Below are some photos of the Vintage section of the new Final Frontier and Ben Franklin Superstore during the setup.

Replacement parts for the camera station are here so we should be able to start getting photos next week. And work should begin on the upcoming update. I would expect the update to be done by the end of January as per normal.

I will post more photos as things move along.

Just a quick update for all of you who ordered this week. We are running a bit behind in shipping for a variety of annoying reasons. First off we have run out of shipping popcorn. Our delivery today did not show up so we had to scramble to find some to carry us over. Normally this never happens but we let it run down to not have to move any across country. Second both my cell phones decided this was a great time to fail. One right after the other and while I despise the things, try running a business in 2025 without them. No bueno. Third, my personal "favorite" is that we have had two, count them, two snow storms in the past four days. I thought I escaped from Hoth. We have more snow than Minnesota?!?! God's sense of humor is not being appreciated right now.

Anyway please be patient as we will be getting all the order caught up by tomorrow. Hope we see that stupid truck show up as well as no more snow. I hate winter!

But Wait, there is more...

We are moving! Yes, we are escaping planet Hoth. I could not endure another winter (spring, fall, etc) there any longer so we have uprooted all three businesses, the warehouse and our home to a new location revealed below. The move started at the beginning of January as has continued, without any break, to this very day. Over fifty truckloads that was way more time, money and effort than I foresaw. But, anything to escape!

Now, onwards! We are currently setting up the warehouse as well as the new Superstore. We will be housing all three businesses, Final Frontier, Ben Franklin and Ben Franklin Books, in one massive 27,000 square foot mega store. This undertaking will be another long and arduous process and I hope to open in the Spring of 2026. I will start posting updates on our page for you to follow this coming week.

So this has been the reason for so little communication this year. Too busy to anything with all that has gone on. I spent about a year going across the country looking for the right location and storefront. And the winner is...Washington, Illinois. It is a very nice town just outside of Peoria, Illinois and it will be our HQ for the forseeable future.

Well, after a 5 month exile I am back. A Facebook snafu got me blocked for months now. Very annoying but thankfully corrected. And it has been a very busy 5 months.

First, I have not been able to see any messages since early January so I apologize for not being able to get back to you in the normal timely fashion.

Second, we have some big news coming. We have closed both our Final Frontier store and Book store in Park Rapids. Ben Franklin will be closing at the end of summer. But this is only a transition not an end because...I am finally escaping my exile in Minnesota!!!!!

Third, I will be posting updates regarding the move to our new Superstore location later in the summer. There are some very annoying transition pains trying to function in two different states but we will muddle through.

Anyway, I am back and glad to be able to communicate here once again!
