Join us for virtual story time on Saturday at noon! This week we'll be reading "Milton Makes a Move" by Jonathan Graziano.

Milton is a curious little pug who loves adventure--especially when it involves snacks, stinky smells, and playing with his dog friends. He's heard that some dogs go off to live with forever families... but that kind of adventure feels a little too big for Milton.

So when Milton finds out he's moving to a new home of his own, he packs his tiny suitcase (stuffed toy included) and does his best to be brave. He's surprised to find that his new human friend, Jonathan, seems nervous too! But as Milton settles into his new home, he and Jonathan will learn that being brave means giving new things, and new friends, a chance.

We're seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic bookseller to join us at The Hickory Stick Bookshop to fill a part-time or full-time position. 📚

Customer service is our number one priority. As a bookseller, you'll be the face of the store, helping customers, recommending titles, and creating a warm and welcoming environment that reflects our passion for books and community.

Applicants should have a broad knowledge and passion for books and bookselling, as well as the ability to work creatively with other staff members.

This one was busy yesterday. 🧐

How are the rest of you Waldo hunters coming along? There's just a few days left to get those stamps in your passport! Be sure to hand in your completed passports by 5:00 pm on Friday July 31st to be entered into the Grand Prize Draw.

Then join us for our celebration party on Saturday August 1 from 3-4 pm. We'll have games, refreshments and the Grand Prize Drawing. 🎉

What an incredible event we had with local author, Sebastian Tillinger, answering questions about his new book, How the Ferris Wheel Was Broken.

His memoir reads as "a love letter to Los Angeles, the mysterious year 2000, and the life of a kid desperate to shine."
