As we get into candle burning season, I want to remind everyone how to properly maintain your candles for safety and ideal burning.

🔥 ALWAYS trim your wick before each burn!! If you leave the mushroom from the previous burn, you risk a larger, more dangerous flame and increased soot!

Side note: my candles are 100% soy wax and will have a slightly cracked or unsettled top once cooled from each burn. This is a natural occurrence and is a sign of quality soy wax!

Always keep candles away from curtains, coaches and stacks of paper! Burn your fall candles safely 😊

FUN FACT about me! I collect handmade mugs from my travels and amazing potters I’ve come across here on Instagram. Each mug is unique and holds a special memory from where I got it. Not only that, but handmade mugs are a piece of art, and I love seeing the different styles when I open my cupboard in the morning to choose my coffee cup of the day! I remember taking a family trip to visit my aunt down in California, and being in aw at her kitchen cupboards, with all the uniques pottery mugs and dish ware. From that moment, I had a goal to fill my own mug cabinet one day with only handmade pieces, and I have!! 🥰

The mug in this photo is from a trip I took to visit a dear friend in Indianapolis. I remember riding bikes to the store and bakery, going to a 20’s themed birthday party and getting pedis at a very interesting salon 😆

Well, I’ve been laying low business wise for the last year or so, but I’m itchin to share my baked goods, crochet items and non toxic candles again!

I’ll have a few regular sourdough loaves, bakery style blueberry, banana and chocolate muffins, lemon poppyseed scones, sourdough bagels (jalapeño cheddar and cheesy everything) and sourdough English muffins.

I’ve been quiet on here for a while, really focusing on my health and figuring out what my calling in this stage of life is. I’ve always LOVED baking and have dove deep into all the cake decorating and sourdough baking lately!

I’m just one gal looking to spread some joy through delicious baked goods. I work out of my home kitchen, which is not inspected or stamped with approval, and I do have a beautiful yellow lab that lays in the sun, watching me bake.
