A 40 year veteran of the Alaska floor covering industry noticed there was lack of quality cutting and binding carpets in the Anchorage and Mat-Su areas. Most people start thinking about purchasing area rugs with in 3 days of installing a hard surface floor. Could be a remnant, local stock, or special ordered carpet for just the right style and color. We can create custom sized and bound area rugs, runners, and stair treads. Custom size area rug pads available. Pick up and delivery available.

5 1/2 INCHES out of square in 12 feet? Yep, carpet purchased from the floor covering stores WILL be out of square. The rugs I fabricate from carpet are squared up, every edge is cut for binding, and sheared if it needs it. Please get the carpet a little larger than you want the rug to be.🙂 When we talk about your project I can recommend how much carpet to purchase.

Apparently Alaska’s most POPULAR carpet style and color for custom fabricated stair runners and area rugs! I have made 5 different projects from and for 3 different Anchorage and Mat-Su Valley floor covering stores. I like blue so bring it on!

“Could not find a hearth rug with shape to accommodate the semicircle of the platform my wood stove is on. Mark at Flortech Binding assured me he could finish the edge I cut out of a wool rug for this purpose. He had a nice selection of edging colors to match my rug, and he sewed it on in good time.
