***** In the spirit of transparency ~ We aggressively and unapologetically support ALL parts of the community. Instead of wanting to see a mirrored version of ourselves, we walk out the door into the differences of our world and embrace them. *****

We hire homeless youth for a job training program. We have Drag Storytimes and support the LGBTQ+ communi

ty in general. We support drug and alcohol sobriety organizations. We host religious classes for all world religions. We have regular coffee events with veterans. We host finance and mechanical classes for teenagers. We donate to local events and fundraisers. We have Alaskan author events several times a month. We invited r**e victims, drug addicts, veterans with PTSD and convicted murders to have a talking panel for community engagement. We don't censor books, we read them to understand the world differently than we know it. WE SUPPORT HUMANITY and that, my friends, has no political agenda. All are safe here. All are welcome here.

Happy Juneteenth!! 💛🧡🖤💚 We proudly support all people for equality and it’s weird that sometimes it needs to be said outloud. We’re proud to do so, as always.

• Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when enslaved Texans learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
• The celebration began in Texas and spread nationwide, becoming a federal holiday in 2021.
• Juneteenth honors freedom, resilience and Black history while recognizing the ongoing fight for equality.

Join us at the Palmer Museum of History and Art for a community celebration of Juneteenth in the Mat-Su Valley!

723 S Valley Way, Palmer, AK

We refer customers to Cindy at The Book Shelf DAILY. She met her goal for rent this month but it’s not as easy as one number when it comes to small business. We would love it if you could send some monetary love her way while she’s unable to open.

♿️Accessibility is always a big deal at the bookstore. Thank you Alaska Waste for delivering a handicap accessable portable toilet for our event as an extra accommodation. It's perfectly positioned in it's own little forest nook, just to keep your t**h cool during the hot day.😊
