Today, we remember...

We remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We remember the first responders who ran toward danger, the dispatchers working behind the scenes, the families whose lives changed forever, and the countless ordinary people who stepped forward to help one another.

For me, as a former dispatcher, this day will always carry a little extra weight.
But alongside the heartbreak, I also remember something else—the way people came together.

They helped.
They served.
They checked on their neighbors.
They hugged their families a little tighter.
They reminded us how much people matter.

Twenty-five years later, those are lessons still worth carrying forward.

Today, may we remember those we lost, honor those who served and sacrificed, and choose a little more kindness toward the people around us.

Their stories matter.

And we remember. ❤️🤍💙

As we head into September 11th tomorrow, I wanted to check in and simply ask…

**How you doing?** 💜

For many of us, this week carries memories and emotions that don’t necessarily get easier just because another year has passed.

As a former dispatcher, this week has always been a tough one for me. I think about the first responders, dispatchers, families, survivors, and so many others whose lives were forever changed that day.

When I saw the words stamped into the background of this unfinished card, they felt especially fitting for today:

**How you doing?**
**You are enough.**

Sometimes we need that reminder.

We all carry things others may never see. Certain dates, sounds, pictures, or memories can take us right back to another time—and sometimes what we need most is simply for someone to check in.

So today, before we pause and remember tomorrow, I’m checking in with our Love Scraps community.

**How are you doing? Really?**

Be a little extra gentle with yourself and with others this week. You never know what memories someone may be carrying. 💙

Happy Labor Day from Love Scraps! 💙💜

Today is a good reminder that while there will ALWAYS be something else that needs to be done… we need a little time to rest and recharge, too.

And sometimes that looks like paper, scissors, photos, stamps, a favorite drink, and absolutely NO pressure to finish anything. 😉

So if you find yourself with a little extra time today, give yourself permission to create simply because you enjoy it.

Make a card.
Work on one scrapbook page.
Sort a few photos.
Play with those supplies you’ve been saving for “someday.”
Or just sit at your craft table and see what happens.

You don't have to be productive every minute of the day.

Sometimes creating just for the JOY of creating is enough. 💜

Happy Labor Day, crafty friends!

👇 If you get some creative time today, what are you working on?

Sunday reminder 💜

Not every memory we treasure comes from a big, picture-perfect moment.

Sometimes it’s Sunday dinner around the table.
A conversation with someone we love.
A child’s silly little habit.
A quiet morning.
A prayer answered.
Or even a hard season where we can look back now and see that God was carrying us through.

These ordinary pieces of life become part of our story.

Maybe that’s one of the reasons I love scrapbooking so much. It gives us a place to slow down, notice what God has given us, and preserve a little piece of it.

Today, before the new week gets busy, take a minute to notice something you’re thankful for.

You don’t even have to scrapbook it today. Just write it down. 💙

What’s one little piece of life you’re thanking God for this Sunday?

Scrapbooking can be gentle. 💜

It doesn’t have to be another thing on your list to finish, catch up on, or conquer.

Some seasons you might finish an entire album. Other seasons, you might have 15 minutes to choose a few photos, add a little journaling, or finish one page.

Both count.

Your memories aren’t going anywhere, and there is no rule that says you have to scrapbook them quickly, perfectly, or in order.

Let scrapbooking meet you where you are right now.

One photo. One story. One page at a time. 💙

💬 What would make scrapbooking feel a little more doable for you in this season?

Starting and small consistent steps is all that matters. Not how much, how big or small...just you and your creativity.....
