The Alaska Star is a 36”x36” Barn Quilt I made in December. It’s time to bring it out and show it off! This was a challenge to draw and tape, but it was worth the effort! The background color and golden stars match the colors on the Alaska Flag. The inner colors represent the northern lights. The large white star shape is the north star. The Vintage Market is 3 weeks and a day away. I finally got my booth dug out of the snow and ice and into the garage. It’s drying now for a few days then I’ll set it up to be sure it’s looking good for the Market. Can’t wait to show off this new batch of barn quilts!!

Things are pretty slow around here now that I finished my inventory for the Vintage Market. My booth is stored behind my greenhouse and we are in the middle of breakup now so the ground is wet/soft and we still have a foot of snow on the ground. It will be awhile before I can dig it out. I want to get it into the garage and dry it out and make repairs as needed. I still have plenty of time, but getting anxious to get it done. I’ll be pulling out all of my inventory soon and plan on posting it here for a fcfs pre-market sale. Stay tuned!!

It’s coming up real soon!🥳 This is the biggest market event of the year anywhere in Alaska! They put vendors in this huge barn and food trucks are lined up outside. It gets as crowded as the State Fair with hundreds of people showing up each day. This will be my 4th Vintage Market and I can’t wait for it. It’s exhausting, but so much fun!

Good morning! I’ve finished my last barn quilt for the Vintage Fare Market in May! My goal was to finish by April and I did it! The theme of the Vintage Fare Market is Enchanted Garden. So, I took a barn quilt pattern I’ve done a few times and added the gnome to give it an enchanted look. The size is 24” x 24”. Stay tuned for a Market pre-sale here! I plan on giving my wonderful followers a first opportunity at the barn quilts I’ve made these past 3 1/2 months with a special deal. Although we still have 2 ft. of snow, it’s warming up and feeling like spring is right around the corner! Hooray!!! Take care!

Finished it! Do you recognize it now?😎 it’s an 18” salmon life cycle barn quilt. I’ve done several in 12” and 14” sizes, but this is the first 18”. Fun one to make! I have 3 more blanks to make for the Vintage market in May. My goal is to be done by the end of March. It’s going to be close! So Happy It’s Thursday! Have a good day! 🥳
