I don’t want to be a broken record, but this track is not going to be maintained and cared for by me alone. I would like to race too! There needs to be people there to show others how we run a racetrack and it’s not Wonderland Park freestyle. It needs to be open on certain days. Water gets blown off after it rains so it doesn’t saturate. Filling in your own divots, if you like a fast race track, sweep the loam from the turns. Taking care of usage problems. If I see interest in caring for it, I would like to add a lot more to track including donating a full time skid steer.

I believe there needs 5 to 7 caretakers to make sure that maintenance is getting done, signage improvements, and making it work.

Everything at this indoor track is my volunteer time. Setting up crawler courses is my volunteer time. each one of these areas needs to be given to the community to run.

Focusing on the outdoor track, it is getting damaged. It is sitting there at 95% completion. Just a few of us got it there, very long tedious days. It will be covered in weeds next spring and I’m sure they’ll be more motorcycles over there.

Is it possible to get 5 to 7 people that can divvy up the chores of maintaining the track?

Here is your Inside Line series track layout. A few more tweaks and a little bit of cleanup, but track is open today.

Rain did not affect the outdoor track much since it’s graded so well. Driver stand needs finished. Could be a great 2027 season. With double pipe and green infield it’s going to be pro level. Really amazing experience to drive.

Outdoor track has been stagnant for a while. Im having a hard time envisioning how the track operates. My best idea so far is it would need 5-7 caretakers next year to share the load of maintenance and ensuring proper use. That number of people would ease any one person’s responsibility to less than one evening or day per week when weather allows. There is over 800 yards of screened topsoil that was brought in. A dump truck holds 12-14 yds. It’s a heck of a start.

Progress made on the indoor track Wednesday but just a couple of us so pretty slow. The back straight seems to work so that’s exciting.

The hobby shop only exists to help pay track expenses and I cover the difference each month. We do need to hire 1-2 capable people currently. I’ll do my best to keep helping but the tracks and courses have to be a community garden for upkeep and operations.

We have a great group and will be ready for the best indoor race season yet.

No racing today! Rebuilding track.

For the T-shirt graphics, I changed quite a bit today: More realistic car, deleted a lot of AI splashes and energy. Any input? Look like a winner yet?

Call out to the 1/24 crawler guys!

The indoor, every other week, Sunday comps were very successful last winter. The one day we had 37 entries was a bit much, but I think that's a problem we can better prepare for next time.

Should we stick with every other Sunday at noon or do you have another suggestion? Can be more events, different days, etc. First one on the calendar currently is Sept 27th. Could make it a series points calculation.

Cory is working on one new section that we are excited about. That room does depend on volunteers for setting fresh lines. If you want to build some 3'x3' sections we will store them and keep the meets fresh. We can help with materials and share what we have learned so far also.

Can't wait to see the fresh builds for the new season!!

***That 20 entries number is coming quick. Spread the word and the Axial CJ is up for grabs. Lets do it! Sunday @ 2pm we'll be ready to start the comp.

Call out to 1/10 crawler guys! OTW has not successfully grown this community for regular meets after Thursdays fizzled out. I'd like to give it one last try before abandoning that program.

Would you rather have a regular meet or a competition?

What day makes sense for the summer season schedule (what's left of this year and if successful, we will keep it in the 2027 program)?

There are a bunch of awesome lines set.

Could try this Sunday? My heart is competition so that would be my vote. Sunday 2pm start? If you guys rally 20 unique entries at $10 I'll run the comp and put this 1/10 CJ-7 up for the winner of the class with the most entries.

If that's too much pressure, rally the heard to meet up anytime we are open. With interest, we will continue to expand the 1/10 terrain.

The MyLaps Monopoly is certainly here to stay. Transponders are a painful initial investment but due to the monopoly they have risen in value each year. (You can always sell them at a good price).

Any self respecting track willl use a MyLaps decoder. 2017 and later firmware will only read transponders that say “MyLaps”.

If you still have old AMB or MRT transponders, you could trade them in for a great price on new ones. If you have unneeded old ones you could actually make money on the used market with this trade in opportunity.

LiveTime is the #1 reseller world wide for transponders for all types of racing. We guarantee the lowest prices!
