In recent weeks I've been focusing a lot more on engaging the hips and driving with "the offside". I am no where near consistent yet, and still find myself reaching way back and accelerate with my arm when trying to throw hard, which actually results in shorter and more erratic drives.

I thought this video was worth sharing as it sums up what some of the top distance throwers are doing to get more distance with less effort.

A heads up for anyone trying to head to Smugglers Notch from the Waterbury side!

UPDATE: The large boulder has been removed and VT108 "the Notch" has been reopened.

Scenic VT 108 “The Notch” will be CLOSED tomorrow, 06/04, to allow crews to remove a large boulder from the roadway following a landslide earlier this week. We will be sure to notify the public when the roadway is reopened.
