Tonight we did the typical evening dash. You know what I'm talking about -- put the clean dishes away so you can load it with the dishes from the overflowing sink. Yell up the stairs 3x to your 4yo about brushing her teeth instead of focusing on her booboo from a week ago. Fluff the couch pillows for optimal relaxation. ANYWAY. I decided to light a candle in preparation for prime lounging post child bedtime. Too lazy to trim the wick -- rookie mistake. Do better than I chose to do today!

In this little video, you may notice the flame is too tall and a touch smokey. Easily fixed by doing the following:

- Before lighting your candle, always be sure to trim to 1/4 inch

- The first time you light any candle, plan to burn it for a couple of hours - this will pay off in candle longevity!
