This past Sunday, we had a bad day at the I-95 Card Show at the Howard County Fairgrounds. Someone stole our cash box out of the truck while we were loading up to go home. Probably got ~$2K in proceeds from the day.
Mason has worked so hard to make his business a success. Can’t believe someone took advantage of him like this. Can’t believe I let someone take advantage of him like this.
Would like to address this with New Testament “Turn the Other Cheek” philosophy but those that know me, I’m going Old Testament….
To whomever stole the cash box:
- I hope that any profit or pleasure you got from this turns to ash in your mouth.
- I hope anything you use this for results in only despair and heartache
- I hope for every dollar that you took misery is visited upon you 100 fold
- I hope the guilt of taking something that a 17 year old has worked so hard for is a burden that increases with weight every day until it breaks you
- I hope that knowing that this is grand larceny causes worry that you will be caught and makes you sick to your core.
- I hope the nagging feeling someone is pursuing you leaves you with an exhaustion that sleep doesn’t restore.
- I hope you get caught for this theft and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. A police report was filed.
- I hope you try this with someone that is a bit more vigilant than I was and that the wrath they visit upon you is 100x worse than anything you can imagine.
- I hope that your relationships turn sour and you are left to wallow in your own pity and misery.
And finally, I hope that all of these and more are visited upon you again and again until you perish from this earth.
