Fishing continues to improve on the Long Island Sound and the last few trips have been producing some great action! We've been putting fish in the boat consistently, including slot-size stripers in the 28–31 inch range, with plenty of larger fish mixed in. We're also seeing a few big bass over 40 inches coming over the rail every day.

We're expecting the bite to continue improving this week as more fish push into the Sound and bait becomes more concentrated.
Soft plastics and Striper Snax bucktails have been putting fish in the boat consistently. Bunker and herring activity has been increasing, and when bait starts stacking up, the bass usually aren't far behind.

Captain's Tip: Don't ignore the subtle signs—diving birds, nervous bait, and surface disturbances can quickly lead you to actively feeding fish.

Went out yesterday to try out the new trolling motor. What a game changer. Quick and easy way to check spots.
We caught a few blackfish mostly shorts and a skate.

Stopped at Lake Hartwell to see a buddy from CT. He put us on some nice spots and large mouth bass yesterday. We are heading to Lake Koewee this morning.

Well that's a rap in the Florida Keys. Great fishing great weather and great people. Going to start a slow ride back to CT with a few stops to see some old friends in Florida and South Carolina.

Another great week of fishing in Marathon. We caught mackerel, Goliath grouper, a bunch of differant sharks, and snappers.
This week we will be targeting sailfish and some wreck fishing.

A great first week in Marathon. Temps in the 80s light winds perfect for fishing. We caught all kinds of snappers, grouper, and sharks.

The trolling motor has been installed by John at Harmuth Marine. Cant wait to get out on the water in April to give it a try.
