I made a little behind-the-scenes video showing how I customize the brown paper gift bags at Garden Lady’s Obsession.

There’s more planning involved than you might think — measuring, laying out the lettering, lightly sketching the design, lettering it by hand, and then cleaning everything up once the ink is dry.

I thought it would be fun to show the process from start to finish so you can see what goes into making each one a little more personal.

I’m opening Garden Lady’s Obsession TODAY for Labor Day!
9 AM–7 PM

I’ll be spending the day at the shop working on landscape designs, and I’d love to have the door open and meet some new faces while I’m there.

If you have family in town, are spending the day downtown, or just feel like getting out and exploring a little, stop in and take a look around... if you're brave enough TRY CALLIGRAPHY! 😉

You’ll find garden-inspired gifts, creative supplies, plant care items, fairy garden pieces, and plenty of fun little finds along the way.

I hear you, Watertown.

More of you have been reaching out for landscape design, garden consultations, and hands-on Garden Help — so I’m adjusting my week to make more room for those appointments.

Garden Lady’s Obsession will still have regular gift shoppe hours Thursday through Saturday, while Monday through Wednesday will be available for landscape and garden appointments.

That means more time for site visits, consultations, design conversations, and helping you figure out what to do with the garden you already have.

Gift Shoppe hours:
Thursday 2–6p
Friday 10a–6p
Saturday 10a–6p

Monday–Wednesday:
Available by appointment for landscape design, consultations, and Garden Help.

Garden Lady’s Obsession is glad to be part of Downtown Watertown at 111 N. Fourth Street. The shop brings together garden-inspired gifts, art and calligraphy supplies, plant care items, fairy garden pieces, and other creative finds, with workshops and local artisan work continuing to grow into the space.

I’m excited to be here and grateful for the support from the downtown community.

A notebook was taken apart for journal paper, which left me with the metal binding coil
The roses from a bouquet were ready to be dried.

So naturally, the coil became a flower-drying rack in the front window.

I am beginning to think very little around here will ever be used for only one purpose.

I’m excited to be part of The BIG Pop-Up 2026 Street Fair!

Garden Lady’s Obsession will not be tucked into a separate booth. I’ll be spilling right out of my storefront and onto the sidewalk at 111 N. 4th Street, with plenty to explore both inside and out.

Hi, I'm Crystal Needham Arnold and I’ll be bringing out botanical artwork, journals, nature-inspired gifts, fairy garden supplies, wax seal supplies, stickers made from my original artwork, and a few things I’ve been working on behind the scenes.

You’ll also find a little Crystal Clear Estimates LLC. presence at Clara’s Antiques’ booth, so keep an eye out while you’re walking through the event.

Stop by the shop, browse the sidewalk display, and come say hello. I’d love to talk plants, art, old things, and all the curious ideas that keep finding their way into this space.
