✨ Retail Associate - be the face of The Merc! Ring up customers, scoop ice cream, mix our famous dirty sodas, and welcome the travelers and park-goers passing through every day. If you love meeting people from all over and take pride in a well-run shop, you'll fit right in. An active interest in tourism and our visitors is a big plus!

Have you met Kara yet? She's our Merc manager who stepped into the role in late spring. Kara is a life-long North Dakota resident and has been with the Merc since we opened the shop, bringing with her a passion for people, tourism and art (she served as our gallery coordinator and occasional art teacher before her new role!) Kara is always cooking up great ways to expand our services, products and treats and loves to visit with guests and share what she loves about the community. She not only manages the Merc, but works closely with programming and the gallery at the Long X Arts Foundation. Stop in and grab one of our drink or ice cream specials and say hi to Kara! We're so happy to have her on board!
