Featured in the visitor center is North Dakota's largest, most well preserved petrified tree stump; a 17,000-pound petrified stump of a Bald Cypress tree - this 60 million-year-old tree stump was discovered during a paleontological excavation in the Badlands south of Watford City.

Thank you to the makers, bakers, growers, food trucks, musicians and guests who made Little Market on Main a huge success this month. We wrapped it up for the summer season last night and we had lots of fun seeing you all be creative, visit, listen to good music, eat good food (and ice cream!) and enjoy a summer evening together in our space. We’re always scheming up another event, so we’ll keep you posted. And thank you all again from everyone here at The Merc and Long X Arts Foundation
