As I've been out and about lately, I've noticed a lot of wild parsnip blooming, especially in road ditches. If you're mowing, trimming, or working around it, please be careful and avoid getting the sap on your bare skin.

When the sap comes into contact with your skin and is then exposed to sunlight, it can cause phytophotodermatitis. This is a reaction that can result in painful, severe burns and blistering (you can look up pictures yourself).

Take a few extra precautions by wearing long sleeves, pants, and gloves if you'll be around it.

We’ve got pre-inoculated shiitake logs ready to go. Just set them in a shady spot, keep them damp, and they’ll start producing mushrooms when the conditions are right.

The cool part is they don’t just produce once, these logs can keep fruiting for years.
