Traditionally known as Litha in many pagan and witchcraft traditions, this sacred day honors the Sun, the Earth, and the balance between light and dark.

☀️ Sunrise Gratitude Ritual
Wake early and greet the rising sun. Take a few moments to reflect on all that has grown and flourished in your life. Offer gratitude for your blessings and set intentions for the remainder of the year.

🌿 Create a Solstice Altar
Decorate your altar with sunflowers, herbs, crystals, candles, and symbols of the sun. Citrine, Sunstone, Carnelian, and Clear Quartz are wonderful stones to work with during this solar celebration.

Light a bonfire or a gold, yellow, or orange candle. Write down what you wish to manifest and what you are ready to release. Burn the paper safely as an offering to transformation and growth.

🕯️ Roger Toothaker: The Healer Accused 🕯️

During the dark days of the Salem Witch Trials, one of the lesser-known victims was Roger Toothaker.

Roger Toothaker was a respected folk healer and physician who used traditional remedies and herbal knowledge to care for his community. In a time when medical understanding was limited, healers often relied on practices passed down through generations. Unfortunately, these skills could also make them targets of suspicion.

In 1692, Roger was accused of witchcraft and imprisoned in Salem. Unlike many others who were brought to trial, Roger never had the chance to defend himself in court. He died in jail while awaiting trial, becoming one of the many innocent lives destroyed by fear, accusations, and hysteria.

Some historians believe his knowledge of healing and his willingness to question the validity of certain accusations may have contributed to the suspicions against him. Whether healer, herbalist, or simply a man caught in a wave of panic, Roger’s story serves as a reminder of how dangerous fear can become when it overrides reason and compassion.

✨ Bridget Bishop: The First Life Taken in the Salem Witch Trials ✨

On June 10, 1692, Bridget Bishop became the first person executed during the tragic Salem Witch Trials.

Bridget was known for being outspoken, independent, and unwilling to conform to the expectations placed on women of her time. She owned a tavern, wore colorful clothing, and lived life on her own terms—qualities that made her a target during a period of fear, suspicion, and mass hysteria.

Accused of witchcraft without credible evidence, Bridget maintained her innocence until the very end. Despite her denials, she was convicted and hanged at Gallows Hill. Her death marked the beginning of a dark chapter in American history, where fear outweighed reason and many innocent lives were lost.

Today, Bridget Bishop is remembered not as a witch, but as a symbol of the dangers of prejudice, scapegoating, and the persecution of those who dare to be different.
