Hey everyone! This is Mark! The wordy one! We have some rather exciting news to share! However, before we go there, we wish to take a moment to thank each of you for your support and patronage over the last seven years! It has been, and always is so amazing and enjoyable getting to know everyone. Some of you have been with us from the start, some of you found us along the way, and we suspect some of you haven’t found us yet but are thinking about it! Although Mel and I have been at the helm of this endeavor, we have been extremely blessed to have the help of a handful of family and friends throughout each sale to make your visit here at Back 40 a memorable one!
That being said… over the years we’ve been paying attention to improvements we can make- from parking and congestion, to tight spaces and long lines….so we’ve decided to make a few changes. First, our checkout will be more efficient with a new point of sale system, increasing accuracy and speed. Secondly, our Township by-laws allow us fifteen selling days a year, which means we have to sacrifice a Spring or Summer Sale each year to accommodate an increase in the number of sales days for Christmas… everyone’s FAVORITE!! With extended sales days for our Christmas Sale and additional inventory, we hope and expect to alleviate heavy rush times and parking congestion. Also, (this is our most exciting news)…we’re expanding! During our Christmas Sale we will have and additional, more refined and furnished 1100 square feet of sales floor and inventory with a second checkout!
Our sales will no longer be Thursday, Friday & Saturday, with the exception of November 19th and 27th. Instead they will be Thursday 9-6pm and Saturday 9-6pm. This will allow us to restock and refresh in between days.
