The second Saturday in October kicks off a festive weekend with Zion's annual Strassenfest, a German street fair, from 9am - 4pm. Free to attend, enjoy shopping the festive german-style fairways featuring booths selling items made, built and donated by Zion members and commun

Strassenfest 2025: A Celebration Made Possible by You!

Strassenfest 2025 was a wonderful success, and it’s all thanks to the amazing volunteers who poured their hearts into every detail. From setting up booths and baking treats to organizing activities and welcoming guests, your dedication brought our church and community together in a joyful way. You made it happen — and we’re deeply grateful.

To everyone who attended, supported, and donated: thank you for sharing your time, talents, and generosity. The crafters and makers who filled our festival with creativity added so much warmth and charm to the day.

It’s almost October and we’re getting really excited for our Strassenfest event! Our bakers are testing recipes, our makers are busy creating, our canners are making jams and sauces, our collectors are gathering antiques and wares, and we’re working with area businesses to help support our silent auction. It’s alllll coming together!

Join us for a full day of food, shopping, and live entertainment at Zion’s Annual Strassenfest on Saturday, October 11, from 9am to 4pm!

We’re thrilled to feature Joel Kieckhaefer, a Zion alumni and talented accordionist, as our strolling musician. He’ll be playing throughout the day—adding festive energy as you explore our themed booths and enjoy homemade treats.

Strassenfest 2024: A Heartfelt Thank You

A huge thank you to everyone who came together to make this year's Strassenfest a resounding celebration of Zion's vibrant community spirit! Your enthusiasm and support truly made the event a success.

Special thanks to the Strassenfest organizing committee for their incredible leadership. We also want to recognize our dedicated booth chairpersons and all the volunteers—both seasoned pros and newcomers—who rolled up their sleeves to help. A shoutout to the Thrivent Community Action Team Members and the amazing staff from Head Start for their invaluable contributions. And to the generous benefactors who shared their treasures to enhance our event--Dankeschön!
