Music artist of the week...JUNGLE! Our next concert for this year will be 9/23 in Houston. This will be the second time we will be seeing this group. The dress and the person in it had a fabulous time with lots of compliments. As soon as I get one more video loaded I will post a tutorial of how I did it. Lord Huron at the Saenger Theatre New Orleans was amazing as usual. Next concert in October in Houston...Jungle!

My personal project for tomorrow nights concert. Wanted this to look like a desert sunset. I removed the skirt liner and seperated a skirt section to make it a bit shorter. Then with a pot of boiling water I added the Ritz dyerite with two colors to get this really cool ombre effect. It's been fun to get my hands on a sewing machine again. Will give you the whole look tomorrow evening before the Lord Huron concert in NOLA.

The next music group I want to share with y'all is Glass Animals. This album helped us get through the pandemic. It's production was finished at that time and this video was produced in the lead singers apartment during lockdown. This was also our first concert tour post pandemic at an open arena in St. Augustine, Fl. Check this out and their last released album I Love You So F***ing Much.

Title: Gil and Milie
This is a love story that started with an artist and her creation. I grew up as a SciFy fan before I knew what it was, and besides Godzilla, the creature from the black lagoon was in my top five favorites. In my version the creature was so misunderstood. All he wanted was a nice girl to settle down with and have children, and every time he met one they screamed and faint. Seriously! He needed a strong woman who could see him for who he was. That woman was Milie, the woman who saw his heart. Milie is modeled after Milicent Patrick, the woman who designed and created the creature himself. Women of that day were always put in the background and not given enough credit. Back then it was a man's world. So I thought it only appropriate to put them together as an example of mutual respect. And look how cute those twins are.
As you can see, Gil and Milie are back from a night out in their finest attire with some sweet teddy bears for their babies. I wanted to do this in black and white like the movie for a more vintage feel. The family are on a giant lily pad as a base with a sleeping tuxedo cat to wind the music box that rocks the cradle. This build was my most ambitious and took almost a year of planning and building. This is dedicated to all creature fans and those who designed them.
