One year ago today, I launched Luxe Curated Events Co. 🥹🤍
At my launch party, a friend gifted me a bottle of ch*****ne with “Luxe” on it. I decided that night I wasn’t opening it until we made it to one year.
That bottle has been sitting unopened ever since.
Today, we made it. 🥂
For fun, I asked ChatGPT to create a caricature of me and my job based on everything it knows about me.
And this is what it came up with.
Looking at it actually made me a little emotional, because Luxe has become so much more than I could have pictured at that launch party a year ago.
This year has been balloons taking over every room in my house. Late nights and early mornings. Learning things I had absolutely no idea how to do. Beautiful installs. Designs that started as an idea and somehow became real. Clients who trusted me with some of their biggest moments. Ideas that worked, some that didn’t, and a business that has continued to evolve right along with me.
Luxe looks different today than I imagined it would one year ago—and honestly, so do I.
I don’t know exactly what Year 2 will look like. There are a lot of changes, possibilities and big ideas ahead. But today isn’t about having the next chapter figured out. It’s about being proud of the one I just finished.
And because small-business-owner life is apparently very committed to the bit, I actually have an install today. 😂 So the ch*****ne stays corked just a little longer.
But tonight? I’m finally popping that bottle. 🍾
To every person who has booked me, referred me, shared my work, encouraged me, prayed for me, or simply followed along while I figured this thing out—thank you. Truly.
